Welcome to Merit Timesheet Web App:
During 2005 Merit joined forces with the Web development agency Evoision Designs
to develop Msheet, which is an on-line web application for the authorisation of timesheets.
The brief was to design a client based timesheet solution, which was user friendly, secure and free. The new system must allow Merit’s clients to view and authorise timesheets 24/7, 356 days a year from any location with an internet browser.
Clients would need to be able to build and authorise timesheets for both singular and multiple employees, amend pre-authorised timesheets and view historic data over a secure network.
By providing our Clients with an alternative to the traditional paper based timesheets, we hoped to reduce our usage of natural resources whilst increasing the accuracy of payments to employees and lead times.
To date we have reduced our dependence on paper timesheets by over 70% and payment errors such as lost or misread timesheets have reduced by over 85%. Keeping both our employees and our clients happy, whilst allowing Merit to pass on savings to its clients in the form of lower pricing.
Although we encourage our clients to look at Msheet as a possible solution we do work with a number of clients who either use third party software or prefer traditional methods of authorising timesheets.
However, those clients that choose to use Msheet are provided with free technical support and training as and when required.
So how does Msheet it work:
Once a Go-live date has been decided clients have the option of entering data relating to names of employees, hours worked, pay rates and charge rates themselves. Alternatively they may wish this data be entered by a Merit Account Manager or a combination of both may be suitable.
Unlike some third party software Msheet has been designed from a clients perspective. We have purposely kept our process and designs user friendly in order to reduce errors and complications when it comes to invoicing.
The original brief also specifically requested a simple and easy to use system for the authorisation of what we call bulk or multiple employee timesheets. This is an area where we have received specific feedback to how well and easy Msheet functions.
